    10th Marks Calculator

    Example:

    If your 10th total marks are 500 and you scored 425:

    Percentage = (425 / 500) × 100 = 85%

    12th Marks Calculator

    Example:

    If your 12th total marks are 600 and you scored 510:

    Percentage = (510 / 600) × 100 = 85%

    Example:

    Semester 1 SGPA: 8.5
    Semester 2 SGPA: 9.0
    Semester 3 SGPA: 8.0

    Sum of SGPA = 8.5 + 9.0 + 8.0 = 25.5

    Number of Semesters = 3

    CGPA = 25.5 / 3 = 8.5

    CGPA Calculation (Out of 10.0)

    CGPA to Percentage

    • O grade (9.5+ CGPA): Percentage = (20 × CGPA) - 100
    • A+ grade (8.25-9.5 CGPA): Percentage = (12 × CGPA) - 25
    • A grade (6.75-8.25 CGPA): Percentage = (10 × CGPA) - 7.5
    • B+ grade (5.75-6.75 CGPA): Percentage = (5 × CGPA) + 26.25
    • B grade (5.25-5.75 CGPA): Percentage = (10 × CGPA) - 2.50
    • C grade (4.75-5.25 CGPA): Percentage = (10 × CGPA) - 2.50
    • D grade (4.0-4.75 CGPA): Percentage = (6.6 × CGPA) + 13.6

    GPA Scale (Out of 4.0)

    Percentage Grade GPA Points
    90-100% A 4.0
    80-89% B 3.0
    70-79% C 2.0
    60-69% D 1.0
    Below 60% F 0.0

    Note: This is the standard 4.0 scale used in many universities, especially in the United States. Some institutions may use variations like A+, A-, B+, etc. with corresponding GPA values.

    SGPA/CGPA Scale (Out of 10.0)

    Percentage Grade Grade Points Classification
    90-100% O (Outstanding) 10 First Class with Distinction
    80-89% A+ (Excellent) 9 First Class
    70-79% A (Very Good) 8 First Class
    60-69% B+ (Good) 7 Second Class
    50-59% B (Above Average) 6 Second Class
    40-49% C (Average) 5 Pass Class
    Below 40% F (Fail) 0 Fail

    Note: This 10-point grading system is commonly used in Indian universities and many other institutions worldwide. The exact percentage ranges may vary slightly between universities.

    Formulas

    Percentage Calculation:

    Percentage = (Obtained Marks / Total Marks) × 100

    GPA Calculation (4.0 scale):

    GPA = Sum of (Grade Points × Credit Hours) / Total Credit Hours

    Example: If you got A (4.0) in a 3-credit course and B (3.0) in a 4-credit course:
    GPA = (4.0 × 3 + 3.0 × 4) / (3 + 4) = (12 + 12) / 7 = 24 / 7 ≈ 3.43

    SGPA Calculation (10.0 scale):

    SGPA = Sum of (Grade Points × Credits) / Total Credits

    Example: If you got 9 in a 4-credit course and 7 in a 3-credit course:
    SGPA = (9 × 4 + 7 × 3) / (4 + 3) = (36 + 21) / 7 = 57 / 7 ≈ 8.14

    CGPA Calculation (10.0 scale):

    CGPA = Sum of (SGPA × Semester Credits) / Total Credits Across All Semesters

    Example: Semester 1 SGPA 8.5 (20 credits), Semester 2 SGPA 7.8 (22 credits):
    CGPA = (8.5 × 20 + 7.8 × 22) / (20 + 22) = (170 + 171.6) / 42 ≈ 8.13

    Important Notes:

    • Some universities calculate CGPA as a simple average of SGPAs rather than credit-weighted
    • Always check your institution's specific grading policy
    • Conversion between different grading systems is approximate
    • This conversion is based on SPPU 2019 rulebook and Circular No. 322/2020
